MORE INFORMATION

This painting explores the redeveloped urban environment highlighting the complexities of the relationships that exist between urban structures.  The intermesh of forms depict the positive dynamics of contemporary development. The bold colour palette reflects new build, set against grey forms and ground alluding to the previous industrial use of the area.

This painting is part of a series inspired by engagement with regenerated urban locations.Gabrielle Caul creates an abstract expression capturing the interplay and energy that occurs between the urban structures.  She simplifies the structures, using hard edged geometric forms to depict urbanisation. The careful placement of both form and line provides harmony in this painting.
