McCaslin Art Advisory was established by Claire McCaslin-Brown in 2016 in London to provide a truly bespoke service for art collectors & investors worldwide. Her vision is to provide access to the art world for collectors and those new to collecting art.
As an independent art adviser, she works with clients in London, Europe, Asia, the Middle East and the US. She has previously worked with blue-chip consulting companies in marketing & strategic communications & cross-cultural communications roles at EY, McKinsey & Company, Accenture. Claire has an MA in Contemporary Art from Sotheby’s Institute Art and a BA (Hons) in Modern Languages. Her areas of specialisation are German & European Contemporary & Modern Art.
Laura graduated with a degree in Art History from the University of Sussex in 2013. Laura works with us mainly on the Art Collector Tours.
A fluent Italian speaker, she has since worked for commercial galleries with headquarters in London, Beijing and Milan. Working as a Gallery Assistant in the heart of London’s Art world – Mayfair she has collaborated with curators, artists & galleries in organising exhibitions and art fairs such as Draw Art Fair, Photo London & Art Brussels. Working closely with online platforms such as Artsy & Galleries Now, she has an extensive knowledge of the London art scene and art calendar which she is passionate about sharing with her clients.
Laura has worked for specialist photography and Chinese art galleries and is knowledgeable about a broad range of art genres and time periods.
Valeria is about to graduate in Cultural Heritage Science with a specialisation in Art History form the University of Turin, in Italy. Valeria works closely with Claire and provides support through researching aspects of the art market, and writing some of our Blog posts.
In 2017 she also studied at the Université Libre de Bruxelles in Belgium. Fluent in Italian, French and English she has previous experience in working with a leading blue-chip commercial Gallery. She is also a freelance editor analysing the contemporary art market for an online magazine.
She’s enthusiast and passionate about art, especially post-war and contemporary, and is interested in the Italian movements - Spatialism and Arte Povera.
Iain is an author and recognised speaker on the art market and art from emerging markets. With a PhD in the Department of Cultural Policy and Management at City University, London on 'The Emerging art markets of Greater China 1989-1999' (2000), he has written numerous books on the art market and undertakes regular speaker slots. John provides technical services to the art world, and is a recognised authority on international business and corporate restructuring. He is advisor to the boards of companies in the UK, France and the US, and Senior Advisor for Art and Culture for Business in the Community. John is an Advisor to McCaslin Art Advisory and a collector of fine art. His areas of knowledge are French impressionism and American contemporary art.
